VEGETABLE GARDENS 4 U
WE BUILD IT...YOU GROW IT...YOU KNOW IT!

We are a full-service, backyard-to-table company. Let VEGETABLE GARDENS 4 U create, build, plant, weed, and maintain your garden. In fact, now is a great time to build your vegetable garden; just in time to be ready for the fall crop that's coming up! See our "Seasonal Garden Tips" box on the right for a list of vegetables you can enjoy in the fall if you plant NOW.

Want a vegetable garden? Let us build an Edible Landscape for you! Have a vegetable garden now, but no time to maintain it? Let us help you! We can amend your soil with our organic compost and plant your vegetables. We can come back on a periodic basis for weeding, staking, and even harvesting. Have bad soil? Let us condition your garden by replacing nutrients with organic matter, for better yield. Are there critters eating your vegetables before your family can get to them? We can help! Check out the many yard and garden services we offer under the Our Services tab, and see how we can help your garden TODAY!

When your lush, beautiful vegetable garden is producing more food than your family can eat, we recommend AmpleHarvest.org, an organization that helps feed the hungry by empowering small gardeners and farmers to find places in their community to donate their excess produce.

GARDEN TIPS FOR AUGUST
It's time to sow your fall seeds! Now is the time for carrots, collards, beets, kale, lettuce, rutabaga, scallions, spinach, chard and more to be planted outside in your garden. It's also time to harvest your potatoes; the plants are starting to look spent, and the roots are ready to release your delicious potatoes. Pull the plants up by the base if they're loose enough. Otherwise, use a shovel to reap your harvest. You can also put your garlic in the ground now, and expect to harvest it next spring.
